The Impulse Summit is an interactive and independent conference with the purpose to fuel the sports business industry with new impulses.
We aim to create a platform for dialogue at the interface of sport, business, politics, culture, and science, representing relevant industry topics by reflecting the voice of the next generation and senior industry experts.

By participating as one of 200 industry leaders throughout the Impulse Summit in the SQUARE at the University of St.Gallen (HSG), you will access profound knowledge and expertise from peers, combined with the academic background and perspectives of selected student talents.
Our unique two-day conference allows you to openly discuss specific topics from your field of expertise, attend other industry professionals’ sessions and exchange ideas with the next generation. The private atmosphere ensures an eye-level exchange between peers and students to gain insights and make connections within the sports business network.

The start-up selection offers a unique opportunity to pitch your start-up in front of a selected jury of industry experts.
Content-based input
By addressing a pre-selected research question, the participating start-up’s present their solution-oriented approach.

With SportsTechX as a supporter, we provide a platform for start-up’s to connect with investors and other industry professionals.
How it works
In close collaboration we deliberately chose a jury composed of industry experts, topics that are based on prevailing industry developments and a suitable integration into the Summit. The competition aims to diversify the Summit participant pool and serve as an inspiration for the next generation.
What you can win
The pre-selected finalists receive an invitation to the Impulse Summit on October 30th and 31th, 2025 in St. Gallen. In a session during the Summit their approach to setting new impulses for change in the sports industry will be pitched by each team and being discussed by the jury. The winning Start-Up receives a prize money.

The Impulse Start-Up competition was introduced to give upcoming sports industry entrepreneurs a platform to demonstrate their unique ideas and innovative thinking. The Impulse Network brings in the proficiency from one of the leading business schools in Europe that has produced successful start-ups like N26, planted, wefox and VIU. The backbone and practical industry knowledge is provided by the #1 source for data and insights about SportsTech startups and the surrounding ecosystem – SportsTechX.
